Is there anyway to use a TCP connection between Unitrunker v2 and DSDPlus (public release)?

I don't want to have to use the VC,because it will likely screw up audio settings for an audio measurement program.

And speaking of Unitrunker,how does one contact a moderator directly on their group io? I unintentionally unsubscribed myself from the Unitrunker group when I thought I was unsubscribing from receiving constant email updates,to conversation posts, that were clogging up my inbox.

When I sent a request asking to rejoin the group,a moderator denied it. WTF?

It would decode ProVoice audio on voice channels, same as DSD+ 1.101 would, but it's not going to understand the EDACS control channel or follow conversations.

Actually,I'm not particularly interested in monitoring voice traffic with these.I'm really only interested in monitoring/decoding CC data. Can Unitrunker v2 monitor/decode CC data on an EDACS/ProVoice system without the need for DSDPlus or other third party programs? If so,does it display the same amount of data as DSDPlus?

I'd like to keep this as simple as possible without the need for additional programs or needless bloat ware being installed on this computer.

Why don't you give it a try and see if it meets your needs. V1 decodes EDACS just the same as V2, so you can download V1 and try it out now while (presumably) waiting to be added to the Google group to download v2.

I've haven't installed Unitrunker yet and have never used it. I had already downloaded v2 from the Unitrunker Google groups before I had unintentionally unsubscribed myself.

I don't typically use these programs and I'm looking to find a use for the Airspy R2 that I have. I haven't been impressed with it for anything else I've tried using it with so far,so I'm interested in trying to use it for this particular purpose.

Unitrunker does a great job at logging all trunking activity. It will not log encryption Key ID's, as those are encoded over the traffic channels, not the control channel (the same is true of SDRTrunk).

It's been a while since I've done this, but there's a way to use Unitrunker to trunktrack (follow) EDACS talk group conversations and then if the audio is ProVoice digital, you can use VBCable to forward that digital audio to DSD+ for decoding so you can listen. So you have to run both softwares at the same time. The last I recall, Unitrunker cannot decode ProVoice digital audio.

Yeah,it seems DSDPlus needs to be utilized along with the virtual cable to be able to fully track/decode EDACS/ProVoice.

I was never able to get just DSDPlus,public release, to decode any PV audio or data on a traffic channel by just monitoring a trunk frequency. I can see the audio on the analyzer but there is no data being displayed on any of the other screens,when PV traffic is present.

Not sure why. Any suggestions on possible configuration settings that might need to be changed or corrected using an Airspy R2?

Thanks for the clarification.

I was more interested in seeing the data on the traffic channel rather than listening to the audio. I have subscriber radios that perform way better with the decoded audio.

Unitrunker does not decode or display or log "data" on traffic channels. You'll have to find a different solution for that.
