WIN500 wont boot up

My Win500 wont start, everytime I try I get the message: WIN500 Scanner Utility has stopped working. I am up to date on the software, I am using Vista 64 bit. My WIN96 program works fine.

Are you sure you downloaded the latest? Do it again just to be safe.

Might be cause by a Microsoft update in the Data Execution Prevention...

That took care of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad I could help, It took 2 months before I found the solution - thanks to another RR member "Scottwitkin".

Today, cold is not a issue but the 6 inches of snow received within the last 18 hours is !!! But, eh tomorrow is Sunday, plenty of time to take care of it !

Hello, I'm having the same boot problem, but I'm operating on a Windows XP Pro SP3 I have the program downloaded, I've tried the data execution prevention, plus I'm upto date on the program and all drivers need and the program still will not open. any help is appreciated.

And the DEP solution didn't work for me. Good luck getting any support from Don, who doesn't respond to e-mails and rarely replies to anything here.
