I was not talking about the twiki - i was talking about the bearcat warehouse page linked above. Indeed the latest version of sentinel available from Uniden is 2.05.03, whereas the sentinel download provided by bearcat warehouse on the SDS150 page is an older version, not even the latest for the SDS100, it definitely doesn't support the SDS150.

Bearcat Warehouse claims it will ship between December 5-12th. How is that possible if the beta testers are still working on it? Can someone confirm if the retailers will really have them by the first part of December?
I haven’t received a 1st run production unit. I’m gathering the pre orders to be true as published on the Official Uniden Site. It’s going to be a busy night for me and if I hear from UJE I’ll share what I can.

While I agree in principle, this would be quite a clunky approach in terms of relational data. You have one true or false parameter that you are trying to apply to an entry: Encrypted or not encrypted. Rather than creating 25 new tags, this data should be stored in its own field. The Home Patrol Database (HPDB), as we all know, is created from the RR DB. The RR DB sports a column called "Mode" for both conventional and trunked entries. If the value of this field ends in "E", the channel is encrypted. It seems that the HPDB does not implement this field, but that can change. This would require adding a field in Sentinel under both conventional and trunked ("T-Freq" and "C-Freq" in *.HPD terms) channels, updating the sentinel UI to support these new fields, adding a setting along the lines of "ignore encrypted channels" with a scanner menu entry (via a firmware update) and a sentinel UI, and it would also necessitate updating whatever mechanism is used on their end to export the RR data and build the HPDB to look at the value of the mode field and set the encryption flag in the HPDB.
Alternatively, they can make the edit to the HPD data under the hood, and provide the option when updating the database to automatically apply "Avoid" to all encrypted channels and talkgroups. This would require them to store the encryption flag and update the HPDB accordingly, but would not require a UI overhaul or a firmware upgrade for the scanner. It would just require a small Sentinel patch. The HPDB is downloaded in one large HPD file and then "built" into multiple per state files. If the master file would store the encryption flag, Sentinel can use this data to apply avoid to all the encrypted channels while building the per state files. There would only need to be a single checkbox somewhere that you can tick that says "Apply avoid to encrypted frequencies while building the Database" or something like that. This would most likely be the least expensive to implement, and would achieve the desired functionality of allowing us to leverage the power of the RR DB to quickly lockout/avoid encrypted channels and talkgroups, and would definitely be a welcome feature.

I get the same error message.

Hmmm.... I get "You are not authorized to access this page." when I click that link, Eric.

I don't know if they mean me personally or not...but, uh.

I was about to ask Jason why they don't cover up the palm trees in Ohio during the winter, but then I took a closer look at the screen.
I’m on a well deserve vacation!

Ya been testing with all LE, FD and EMS unselected. Quiet except for road crews and garage trucks as well as buses.

Also aircraft is weak on my SDS100 even with antenna changes.
I had two eye doctors appointments, one last Friday and one yesterday. Both in Dallas. I live in Fort Worth. I hooked my SDS100 up to a Diamond dual band ( VHF&UHF) antenna I have mounted on the luggage rail of my RAV4. For my first trip to Dallas I only listened to public service using my externalGPS.( law enforcement, fire department , ambulance service and interop) . As expected the SDS100 worked great for all of those services.
What really grabbed my attention yesterday, was I set the SDS100 up for Airband only this time. And both going to Dallas and back home, everything was just fantastic. Plenty to listen to. Really decent audio on AM. I had used this radio in an 18 wheeler for a few years before I retired . I always felt it did well. But, I really didn't use it that much since I retired. Mainly because I had started to think it didn't do that well on Airband compared to other handheld scanners I have. Even using a Diamond RH77CA instead of the factory duck, it didn't impress me as much as my BC125AT or BCD160DN did using the same antenna. But, using the radio in my car and with the dual band mobile antenna on the roof rack, reminds me how well it worked using it in the big rig.
The right antenna and mounted up high really gives this radio a big boost.
I am still thinking about the SDS150. But, if the Airband performance isn't much better using the same setup in my car, I might be better off standing pat. Having the GPS built-in is nice and with Bluetooth I think I could route the audio to my car's stereo system. Having the GPS built-in would eliminate the extra wires. Dang! I have to stop thinking about the SDS150!

Will there be a way to use the app to access the SDS150 remotely over the internet? I’m searching for a way to justify spending the money to upgrade from the SDS100.
