Has anyone started using these antennas yet? I would like to use them with an APX-8500 for a base station application at our Fire Stations.

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I have not, but I'd be interested to hear from someone who has.
Sinclair makes high end antennas, and is a good company, I'd hope this would be a good product. I've got an application for a few of those and have been looking the market over trying to figure out where to go.

We have a bunch of them spread amongst our deployable resources here in FL.
The below sweeps were taken with the antenna mounted 25 feet AGL in free space connected to LDF5-50 Heliax. It is a decent antenna, just keep in mind that it is unity gain at VHF and barely 2db and 3db gain at UHF and 7/8/9.
If you intend to use it as a base antenna at a fire station, and need access to all three bands, it is a decent choice.

We've got a few of them, one on a tower about 250' running a NIFOG repeater on each band, and several on a mobile communications trailer. I'll pretty much echo what the others have said - it's a decent antenna as long as you are aware of its limitations.
This pretty much mimics what I found with the Anritsu. Not totally impressed with the return loss on UHF. My customer uses 450-470 MHz
Hascall Danke makes a triband as well Ive used. Itsn ot much better in regards of RL/VSWR. The Hascall VHF is worst but UHF seems better.
