    G5 UHF 2 Tone Issue

I've tried a fresh code plug still having the issues. I've even copied and pasted knob settings from frequencies I don't have issues with.....changing only the actual freq and PL. No luck.

    G5 UHF 2 Tone Issue

I just picked up the G5 a couple of weeks ago. It has been an issue since I programmed it. My department is on 453.287 and operated correctly. One of the departments I have an issue is 471.312. Sometimes the squelch stays open after receiving a 2 tone other times it gets locked on the receive...

    G5 UHF 2 Tone Issue

I'm having an issue where when the pager activates, sometimes the squelch stays open, sometimes it closes after transmission ends as intended. Sometimes it activates and the screen stays on the receive screen but no audio. I do not have push to listen selected anywhere in PPS. Luckily my...

Can a cell tower block 800/900 signals?

I did try the attenuator and it didn't help. Did a little test w/ the scanner in my truck. As I got closer to my house and the cell tower, the signal did drop out, so the tower is the cause of the problems.

Can a cell tower block 800/900 signals?

I had a BCT780 that always picked up the local 800 Trunked system with no problems. About a year ago I noticed it wasn't picking it up anymore (Figured the scanner was dying from being on 24/7 over 8 years). Well, I just got a BCT15 when the 780 finally did die, but it too will not p/u anythng...

    Cable for Programming??

The com-port and USB's are input/output devices. Not too sure R&D would be needed. The data itself and how it is seen by the computer and the scanner itself is where the R&D would come into play.

    Dead 780 Display?!?!

I've had the 780 for over 7 years running 24/7. The other day the display was VERY hard to read (very light...almost washed out w/ the back-light). I ordered up a Bct15 figuring it was on its' last legs (I'm a Fire Chief and really need the scanner for work). Question...is the display dead...

    Cable for Programming??

Thanks...that should work fine. Question....why wouldn't Uniden make their scanners USB capable??? The speed of a USB 2.0 is so much faster then a com port. It sure would make programming a breeze for 99% of us instead of having to pick-up an adapter.

    Cable for Programming??

Well after having my 780 up and running 24/7 for the past 8 years (I'm guessing) it died. I ordered the BCT15 from scannerworld and downloaded ARC15PRO to my laptop. Since the laptop only has USB's and no comport, I guess I should have ordered the USB-1 cable when i ordered the 15??? Is there...
