Does your wife know that you were walking along a bridal bridle path in the woods with a female officer from another department?

ARTEMIS 2. Humanity returns to the moon

HF? Apollo didn't use HF, so I wouldn't expect Artemis to do so. If you are interested, look up Curious Marc on YouTube. He has a whole series about restoring Apollo communications equipment. The technology they used in the 1960s is fascinating.

Do I have to join the ARRL?

Members can get QST mailed to them for $25/year. $2.08/month. People in my town were up in arms a few years ago when the Town Council woke up and realized the town was millions of dollars short of paying for necessary upgrades to the water and sewer systems. The new rates shocked the rate...

Do I have to join the ARRL?

The ARRL still prints QST every month. I attend approximately 15 hamfests a year representing the ARRL. I have samples of current issues of QST, On The Air, QEX, and NCJ on my table at every hamfest. Yet, people will walk up to my table and say "I thought they stopped printing QST". Simply untrue.

Do I have to join the ARRL?

Sounds like a rule that the club has set. It's not an ARRL rule. It's your choice. If the club officers insist, you can politely walk away. Full disclosure: I'm an ARRL Life Member. I'm also the ARRL Indiana Section Manager.

    IC-R15 - First Impressions

I don't think 1.0 kHz steps will solve your problem. When the FCC mandated that business and public safety VHF users go to narrowband FM, the frequency coordinators started putting channels on 7.5 kHz spacing instead of the 15.0 kHz that had been used before. You need 7.5 or 2.5 kHz steps to...

    Sentinel: Sentinel

I'm sure this will be viewed by some as picking on the OP, but here's a list of recent threads where the OP has had some sort of network problems with Sentinel: https://forums.radioreference.com/threads/cannot-update.496491/...

SDS150: Uniden SDS150 buy or not?

Kudos to the beta testers for honoring their NDAs and keeping their mouths shut. No quicker way for a beta tester to be black-balled than to talk about the product they are testing before the public release.

    Kenwood: Kenwood TM-D750

I doubt it. All communications products amount to only 25-30% of Kenwood's business. They have been very busy with their land mobile products in the public safety markets through both their Kenwood and EFJohnson brands. I suspect that the land mobile products take the majority of the resources...
