I drove all the way to Salem, NH, yesterday to pick up a new SDS-200. This morning I updated the firmware via Sentinel and purchased and installed the DMR and NXDN updates. Then I wrote the DB and FLs via Sentinel. The scanner runs for less than one minute, then turns itself off.

I was going to further report that the actual symptom was the display and backlighting going off. When I actually turn off the power, the screen lights back up again to tell me that it's writing to the SD card, then the unit powers down normally.

Changed Keypress to Infinite and Backlight to Squelch and all is right with the world.

Your backlighting goes OFF with the Display? I wish, mine stay on!
