Try this old thread for homemade efhw. I use one on 11m, way better than inverted v base to mobile and a good bit better than a vertical dipole. Home Base antenna issues/set up Suggestions

That's actually a good idea! A vertical EFHW makes a dynamite 10/11m antenna for groundwave. No ground plane needed, decent low radiation takeoff angle, easy to put up, easier to match than a 5/8 wave because it is a resonant antenna. There's a number of commercial companies that also build them, usually in the form of a 18' fiberglass stick. It is one of the oldest antenna designs in radio that "just works".

My local radio club has a Saturday morning 10M ground wave SSB net so I built a 10M EFHW and pulled it vertically up into a tree next to my house. The top of it is at 60 ft. (measured by me) and I can hear everybody within 15 mi. or more, even QRP stations. It was inexpensive, easy to tune and works very well locally. It is tremendous for working DX too.

I have very similar height and results on 11m. Very cheap, effective and easy setup as long as there’s a tree to hang it from.
