140.475 ???

Folks, I live in Southern MD and am picking up comms on 140.475. The other day caught several folks which appeard to be installing or troubleshooting a security camera installation.

Today I had misc. verbal comms then a control channel kicked in.

Can anybody offer some info as to who this might be?

Federal Government trunk system. Navy District Of Washington uses that frequency on edacs, and Patuxent uses it in Motorola, Since you are in southern Md, I would think Patuxent.

Hmmmm

I'll keep the NDW ID in mind. Not sure about the PAX one though. I work at PAX been monitoring it for about 10 years now. The only system I know about is the 400 mhz Motorola Typs 2.

If you have any further info on another system here, I'd sure like to have a look at it.



I am gonna feel like a fool if there has been another system here that I am unaware of. I do security down here and have a handheld that works the 400 mhz system
