Okay, I assume that it is coming back up as a Priority Ch. That would be indicated by the reverse contrast "P" in the upper left corner of the display. If that is the case I have to assume that you have turned on the Priority feature again. If it is on the word "PRIon" appears on the bottom line (left justified) of the display while scanning. Turn off the priority by pressing the <PRI> button (bottom, far right button).
