Here in the southeastern part of the state all of the OHP units are running low band radios for their "State radios" and VHF HI band radios for their "County Radios". You can always tell the guys that have transferred in from a troop that had 800 meg radios. They call in to HQ and id themselves with their badge numbers and on lowband. That wears off after a while.

Last night one of the Troop B units called another on the 800 DPS system and told him to go to Low Band side 1.

Bartlesville....supposedly one of the few places left that serve up one of my favorites. The ChiliCheese Burrito (AKA: Chilito) from Taco Bell. I plan on going up there one day to pick up a few. More info on this crisis at www.chilicheese.org

The new SteakNShake will open in 36 hours and their ChiliMac Supreme has to be alot better, plus it's a whole lot closer. :)

Ah yes, excellent plan. Convienient location as well. I wonder if we'll be able to talk people into running there for lunch for us? I didn't know it was opening that soon. If you try it first, do give a report. It should somewhat apply to this forum. Folks do have to stop and eat somewhere when they are out stormchasing or following pursuits, or whatever it is they are doing.

Well, I'm going to try and stay more on target though. I'm new to this forum but I've been a bad, bad thread hijacker in the last few days.

Maybe I should go get myself a good base scanner again?

My source was Bixby police officers when I said no scanners or other Radios. I did not go to the Chief but heard it from some of the higher ups as well as patrol troops. The troops said if they had them they better not get caught. This was last summer when I was involved in a deal with their
dept. but that is what I was told.

Hey TwoBravo? Is Bixby FD still on 453.55? Do you know when they will switch to the 800 like Bixby PD has done?

P.J. Maguire

Yes, to listen to anyway. Bixby Fire is simulcasting on the same frequency they've been on for the past decade or so. They are already on the new 800 system. I don't have their info at hand for 800 but I'll post it here if you or any others want it. I don't mess with it because I don't have an 800 radio or scanner and if I need them, I can still use the UHV radio to talk with them. Everyone else can still hear them on 453.550 which was nice of them to do the simulcast.....unlike some other cities nearby. :)

Okey dokey. Things change on a daily basis around there. Kind of like the personnel roster they have. :) I try not to get involved with any deals with their department anymore. They might shoot my dog...if I had one, which I did at one time and come to think of it..he actually was shot and killed when he got loose. Hmmmm.....

I feel it's a bad idea. But that's just my opinion after about 4 years of working there. If your friend meets the qualifications to work for Bixby, he should meet the qualifications to work for Broken Arrow. Broken Arrow is a much more progressive department with much more room for growth and advancement of a law enforcement carrier.

That's just my opinion also. I can say that I've never applied with Broken Arrow nor worked for them. I know several who do work for them, a few of those are folks who worked with me at Bixby and they are much happier.

For some reason, Bixby wants to hire people with no experience. I'm not sure why but that's what they do.

Take it for what it's worth and of course, your mileage may vary.

I live in Mayes County & one town,Salina still uses 155.49 for their
Police dispatch from 0800 to 1700 & then the Salina units will switch
over to MCSO frequency 155.565 from 1700-0800 the next day.
Salina PD units only uses MCSO 155.565 at night or weekends & holidays
when the dispatcher is 10-7.
Chelsea PD in Rogers County uses 155.49 their Fire dispatch & page-out
frequency while their main frequency is 155.715 & they also dispatch for
Foyil FD on 154.01 & Med-Tec EMS on 160.17.
Muskogee County SO uses 155.49 for its backup if the repeater for
154.725 goes down.
Other then 490,155.76 is used a lot for AirEvac Lifeteam & LifeFlight
helicopters when they are called by MESTA or any of the local Fire
Depts. when there has been a serious emergency.
Chouteau PD was on 155.76 but they have moved their dispatch to
154.98 but Inola PD still use 155.76 for their dispatch & Mayes County
CEM uses 155.76 for their page-out frequency during severe WX & CEM
uses 155.82 as their channel 1 plus I should know this since I volunteer
during severe WX for storm watch.
