160.83 Matawan Area

I'm hearing what sounds like modulated slow speed data on 160.83 MHz, which is listed as NJT Police. It is not continuous. Anyone else hearing this or have any idea of what it is? Listening on a handheld without PL, so don't know if a PL is being used.

Back in the day, I used to pick this up on nearfield frequency capture >close call.spectrum sweeper,signalstalker, from the parking lot at Bayshore Community Hospital,Holmdel Twp. I believe it was coming off a tower at the Garden State Arts Center. This is just off the GSP at mm 114. It used to carry the old NJTPD vhf traffic.

That tower behind the PNC Bank Arts Center still has it operational. Not used as much now that they are on NJICS but its not shut down yet.
