To anyone who monitors NJ Transit police, i was wondering who uses this frequency. I know its police. In the data base it says its for the north jersey coast line area, but im not sure this is true. Comms sound more from the hoboken area, though they come in really clear down here in monmouth county. If someone could clear this up for me that would be great.

They have TX sites with that channel all over the state. There's one in Holmdel.

I monitor NJ Transit on that frequency also transmitting from Berlin tower (Camden County).

It is a statewide RR PD freq. that NJ Transit uses to respond to incidents, etc. I hear them travel all over the state and use that freq. as their main ops. Most ops are concentrated in the NE NJ area, where there is more activity.

New Jersey Transit has three repeater outputs for police operations.

160.830
161.370
161.190

It is my understanding that 160.830 is the main repeater used for most areas. 161.190 was set up specifically for the River Line and 161.370 is used in two terminal areas (Camden, AC).

I hoping to find someone on the boards here to discuss NJT Police radio operations.

If anyone here is familiar with the channel plans in their radios, can you please contact me.

Thank you so much.

All the radios have are that main police frequency (160.8300) SPEN1(154.6800), SPEN2(155.4750) and the four main weather channels 162.550,162.475, 162.400 and 162.500-) that are used around the state. That's it! Again they use a repeater for the field and SIMPLEX for operations at Penn Station
