167.2125 indianapolis

Today I heard 167.2125 in the clear P25. No NAC, as I do not have the decoding capability.

I know it's FBI, sounded like they were doing air surveillance. I started hearing it in Hamilton Co near Noblesville and as I drove to work in Indianapolis, it got weaker and harder for my scanner to decode, so I didn't get all the conversation.

But it was in the clear...something I have never heard on the freq. before.

Interesting. That's the first report of P25 I've heard for them in the Indy area. That freq is normally known as "A1" and is simplex.

167.7625 is another P25, however they typically use full time encryption on it as well.

Oh, and 167.5625, but I've only ever heard it up around Muncie. Again, typically use full time encryption.

They are in the Lafayette, IN area.

167.2125 has been used for a long time on The Indianapolis NW side in the area of 71St and Michigan Road and it was in the clear.If you set back and listen you will learn a lot.
