anyone know what 168.1500MHz with a PL of 82.5Hz might be? it sounds like operations of some facility. only asking because I can't figure out where it's coming from. I think it may be FEMA on Mt. Weather in Berryville, VA. I posted this in the WV forum since that's where I am receiving it. is that PL common for an agency like 100Hz is for Customs?

thanks

82.5 has known to be postal service PL for quite some time. May be it's some facility maintenance for large mail processing centers?

I cannot think of any that are close to me. the closest, I think, is Dulles Airport. the signal is too good to be from there. I'll have to see if there are some closer. thanks

Wow. That's funny you posted this so recently. Yesterday I found a new freq in the 167 range (here in Oklahoma) with the 82.5 PL as well. I looked thru all my federal stuff and couldn't find a single agency listed to that PL tone. So USPS is a good possibility... Thanks.

Also -- I kind of assume you've seen this post but it also has the same PL tone... Freq seems to match close to mine as well.
