I'm hearing what looks like system data in the southern nh area. Comes in as E tonight when someone talks. Any idea?
it is either the NH/VT ICE Vote Scan or the ME Border Patrol Vote-Scan
both use the same NAC, which makes it harder for Scannists to narrow down who the user(s) actually are, especially when you can hear
both from the monitoring QTH.

See if you find others active at the same time as this one, those known sites/frequencies MAY help narrow down which NET this actually is.

That Freq/NAC have been around for awhile now, but never nailed down

Has this frequency been confirmed yet? I haven't seen any IDs. Today in Bradford NH isn't strong as the squelch was "2", on my 996P2, and when turned up to "5', nothing came through. I'm @ 1200-ft ASL, with a discone on a 50-ft mast. NAC 400 per the RR Fed NACE list is USFS, BP, NPS & ANGB. I'm thinking that this might be a previously unknown Air National Guard frequency vs BP or ICS or USFS. I'm in west central NH and David2582 is in southern NH, I would think it would rule out being from northern NH, ME or VT.

Hi there Stranger, Long time no chat(email)

IT is either OBP from Maine/Southern NH or ICE for NH/VT - where ? Good question, as ICE when they originally put in the NH/VT Network had over 10 Sites for NH and over 7 for VT when it first came on-line

Then there became Freq and Site changes due to Interference/Intermod and needing more or less sites.

Also keep in mind, some of these are high sites and can be hear for some distance., then with Maine OBP sharing the same NAC, nailing down who is who comes down to RID's and then some direction finding for the site

Weak and distant signals generally wont break the squelch if its set to 5, which is normal. For weaker and distant signals, it needs to be down low like 2.

I get very low data only evenings. I've occassionally get a ENC hit for only 1-2 seconds. Maybe 2x a week a hear words in the open, again only for a couple seconds. In Merrimac Valley at a high point.
If this helps

Likely you are only getting the Vote-Scan Beacon

the NH/VT ICE Net is not used (in my monitoring experience) as much as the RI/MA, CT and Western MA nets are with HSI traffic
