Thanks Mike! Im not 100% satisified how the switches came out - they require a .75" round hole drilled. I may try to get some switches that are just a bit smaller, maybe a .50" hole drilled making the bezel a bit smaller, fully fitting inside the switchblank area.

Heading to LA tomorrow and I think this vehicle will be all buttoned up for the trip down besides the MCS - its showing up Monday. I ordered a new Amphenol Connex crimper and its finally showing up today so I can crimp my BNCs and PL259s on the ends of all of my coax leads and fire everything up!

Thanks for the continued compliments so far guys.

I got the MCS2000 in and am tweaking my programming for it - I love this radio so much! :D Had one in my Tahoe a few vehicles ago and never should have sold it.

Ordered the faceplate and it should be in either Saturday or Monday, so thats the next step in the process. Once that is in I can get the radio installed.

Oh NOW that is awesome! Very impressive and very professional install. I bow to your technique oh wise and wonderful one. Thanks for the pics BTW.

My curiosity is killing me, what do you use this setup for? Especially the Heavy hitter MCS2000 110 watt....

To quote my old mentor / nemisis, "Now THAT'S a radio!"

Great installation!!!

Seeing your install makes me wish I had kept my Explorer. I have a Nissan Titan now and there's no good place for a good installation like this one. Floor console has some room in the storage compartment but you can't really see the radios while driving. Great Job!!!
