Another Mustang Radio Installation

I know this is an old thread but I thought I would share my angle on this installation. I have a 2006 Mustang and there just isn't much dash space for amateur radio gear.

I built a bracket that attaches to the dash in a way that it can be removed in 20 seconds. No holes were drilled to hold the bracket down. Total cost was about $12.00 and used an aluminum yardstick from Ace.

I made a quick YouTube video of the build.

I'm sure others can design better looking mounts.

-The radio heads are mounted using a commercially available custom bracket that snaps into the middle of the Mustang instrument panel as shown

The custom bracket and the plate and ball-joint mounts are from the same source and today I cannot remember the name of that source. A quick Google search did not remind me either. I will research this further and update this information later.

It looks like the bracket being referred to is a ProClip bracket (Device Holders and Dashboard Vehicle Mounts*-*ProClip Car Mounts for Mobile Phones, GPS, and Handheld Devices). I have a couple for a 2007 F150, but have not installed them as of yet.
