Airboss VHF is on 123.100 Mhz. I am looking for the UHF side. Thanks Lindsay for the frequency. I am working with one radio that does Mil air.

There isn't typically a UHF airboss frequency, no worries there. Some visiting units will have their own discrete channels they will use - could be anywhere from 138-144 / 148-150.7 and 225-380

I went to the Airshow Saturday and very much enjoyed the day !
I logged just over 400 hits on the AirBoss 123.1 better known
as Air Search & Rescue . I had my HP-1E on my belt recording
and 2 handhelds - 1 for scanning and 1 for signal stalking work.
I'm glad the weather held out for this well attended event !!!

I think tg 57392 and tg 57344 are being used for Air Show Logistics. Tg 57328 might be also. I have not heard much out of that tg.

Thanks

On Sunday, I was out in the Universal City area after church for lunch and thought I would head over to
park along Loop 1604 to take in yet another angle of the RAFB Airshow like hundreds of other fans did.
There was no comparrison in my book that being inside for me was the only way to fly ~ pun intended!
On Saturday I was on base for the airshow and being able to hear the PA System, walk around planes
and even tour inside some, checking out all the static displays to me made for a far better expirience.
However, from a scanning perspective, sitting in my GMC Denali was a really nice and quiet setting
to better spread out several scanners and monitor radio traffic versus walking about the noisy crowds.

These are a few of the frequecies I was scanning in my Pro-106's FAVS scanlist with their hit counts :
AirShow AirBossV 123.100000 AM None 442
AirShow PA-Link* 128.250000 AM None 21
A2A Chat AL/Jets 122.750000 AM None 53
A2A Chat Helos 123.025000 AM None 22
A2A Chat Planes 123.450000 AM None 12
Air Search+Rescu 123.100000 AM L/Out-see Airboss above
AirEmergency-VHF 121.500000 AM None 7
AirEmergency-UHF 243.000000 AM None 2
CivilAirPatrol-N 148.125000 FM CTCSS 118.8 12
News1-Sky5+Sky12 450.612500 FM CTCSS 151.4 24
RAFB T38 Airshow 268.200000 AM None 7
T-Birds Diamond4 141.175000 AM None 3
T-Birds DiamondH 149.650000 AM None 300
T-birds Solos&LC 235.250000 AM None 191
T-Birds Grnd T/A 150.300000 AM None 1
T-Birds GrndCrew 413.275000 FM NAC Search 2
T-Birds GrndCrew 413.325000 FM Search 191

Odd Note:T-Birds GrndCrew was not intelligible speech 4 me - was it DSS ? was expecting P25/NAC ?
Also odd, on the CAPs 148.125 PL=118.8 before and during the T-Birds were random shrilling noises.

Signal Stalking - very brief results Sunday
H2O Level Alert 158.820000 FM Search 3 (Automated Voice w/ water level - has Converse Lic)
P40 Pilots Speech 122.125000 AM Search 2 (During his final stunts thanking VETS B4 T-Birds)

Monday I recorded departures of the Thunderbirds heading to Moody AFB, Ga for their last 2015 show.
What frequencies and other observations did other people gather from the RAFB airshow this year ?

More than 250,000 people attended the 2015 JBSA Air Show and Open House Oct. 31 thru Nov. 1st.
Below are 2 news media links with a slideshow and video for those who missed this airshow event !

I didn't search the air bands on Sunday. I was listening to the trunk system. The Thunderbirds were loading up to leave when I went out. I was wondering if they went to Moody or went home first. The C5 flew over my house twice on it's way back to Kelly. The T38 frequency of 268.200 MHz I had in a list.

Thanks
Don
