No real surprises. Almost no activity on the public safety trunked systems, though I did discover that Speedway PD Special Ops channel is now encrypted. I focused this year on IndyCar Officials and driver frequencies.

Speedway PD Special Ops is already marked in the database as being encryption-capable. They could've been using encryption yesterday, but that doesn't mean it'll still be encrypted next week.

Both SPD and LPD pretty much now have their Ops TG strapped full time on the new codeplugs. Everyone is using the big E more often this year at the slightest hint of "troubles" to put it bluntly. There is even a set of strapped S1 Tacs in use if needed now. As well as MCSO has actually begun to use the strapped Ops set for disturbances. I have not checked to see if the new codeplugs have a set of strapped TG's on S2 yet as I have been trying to work on some other things. IMPD has a strapped version of MET-CW also, but I have not caught it in use yet. Even the Airport PD has added the encryption option on thier Ops 3 TG on the new codeplugs.
