On the 25 Nov. Scannerguys they showed a scanner swivel stand for the BCD436HP. It connects to the belt clip button on the scanner.

I wrote them and have not yet received an answer.

Does anyone know what brand and model it was and if so, where I can buy it.

It looked good.

Thanks, Bob.

I don't know about the swivel stand but I was recently looking at various SDS100 stands on eBay. One thing I can strongly recommend is not buying the El cheapo piece of junk that is at this eBay link that follows. I thought I would try one out when I first saw them and I never did receive mine. The company flatly refused to do anything about it and had the worst customer service I've experienced in a decade. I did see one later that a friend had bought and it was an incredibly cheap piece of junk. It wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be. I would like to find a swivel stand myself for sitting my radio on a coffee table. All of these stands seem to be a little bit pricey for what you get but just looking up SDS100 stand on eBay did bring up a few. I just didn't see the swivel stand and I wasn't looking for the BCD436HP either.

Here's the piece of junk I strongly recommend against ever getting for any radio. I actually recommend against buying anything sold by this seller after having to deal with them and never getting my product.

I should have listened more carefully. It turns out that Scannermaster sell them but they are sold out now. If you do a search for Desk Call you will find a site that has them for $19+. They are in stock there.

It looks good but I am not sure the base is heavy enough.

I might try one. Bob.

Thanks for the information Bob. I'll do a Google search on my PC and see if I can locate one. I do like the price. That company I was saying I would not recommend seems to sell a variety of different desktop types now but I think most of them are probably lightweight 3D printed types. I know what you mean about the base being heavy enough to work good. The prices are quite high from that company too with most of them ranging from $40 to $45. And after seeing what the $20 one was and how cheap it was, it doesn't give me much faith just because they raised the price and make one that looks more sturdy now. I never could find the other ones when I first had looked and made my purchase about a year and a half ago. Thanks again...

Bob, I still have been unable to locate the dDsk Call item on Amazon. Is there any way you could post the link here because I do want to get one and that's a great price. Thanks for the report back too!

Thank you kruser! That's just what I was looking for :) I'm guessing that this will work well with the SDS100 also. I know Bob bought his for the BCD436HP. I do have one of those too so if for any reason it doesn't work with the SDS100 I still can use it. Thank you again for your help!

No problem!

I'm glad you brought up the question about it working with the SDS100 as I missed a note about that.
The Scanner Master link says this stand will NOT work properly with an SDS100 that has the large battery and battery door. It will only work correctly with the original small battery and cover.
It does not say that it will not work at all but that it will not hold an SDS100 "securely" when that radio has the large battery and door installed.
That makes me wonder if it would still hold an SDS100 okay if its used as a viewing stand only, just not securely enough to operate the keys and controls while that radio is in the stand.
That would probably be okay for my use if I bought one as I almost always hold a radio with both hands if I'm using its keys and controls. I'm clumsy and would drop the thing if I didn't use both hands!

It's kind of a bummer when you know how popular the SDS100 has become. They also have a note about using this stand with small sized models like the BCD325P2 and other similar sized models. For those models they say to remove the belt clip for a more secure fit in the holder.

Let us know your thoughts if you do get one and try it with your SDS100!

Thank you for the additional info and if I can go ahead and get it without any problems returning it, if it doesn't work of course, then I'll go ahead and get one this week. I was wondering about the larger battery pack and even the width of the SDS100 since it is not quite as wide. Great information and I'll be sure to make a post if I do get one with an update.

Hello Bob and kruser, I was just able to talk to Amazon where even though my promotional credit could not be applied they still help me out. I was able to make the purchase and then they were going to take $21.62 off of my promotional credit and refund my purchase. So they worked with me to make it where I could still use that credit. It says mine should arrive between December 7th and 16th so I'll do a follow-up message on how it works or if it works on the SDS100. Thanks again for the help guys and I will let you know soon...

I got my Desk Call stand yesterday. I have my SDS100 In a leather case and it actually seems to hold pretty good with the new stand.

The only problem I have is that I don't like the fact there is no way to lock the forward / backward tilt of the stand and it's not very tight so the radio wants to tilt and lean forward more than it does back at an angle. If they had a locking mechanism so that you could tilt it forward / backwards and then lock it into place that would be great!

I keep wondering if I'm missing something that will allow me to lock it in place with the tilt but the manual doesn't even look like it allows for that. And it mentions that if you're pressing more than three words, I think, and assuming you're using a cell phone, you might want to take it out of the holder to type something on a keypad.

It stands very sturdy and with the case I have on my radio it is holding it quite well. I haven't tried it with my 436HP just yet or tried it with just the 100 but not in the case. Since I keep my radio in the case I'll be happy with it if it continues to hold it tight.

I've been able to use the keypad on the radio without taking it off of the stand so far and it has held the radio good.

Here are a few pictures just to show how it works with my setup. Excuse the mess on the table :) I was glad that I was able to plug in the radio and power it and that had been one of my concerns when I was making the purchase.

It's definitely worth $20 but they need to give us the capability of controlling, whether with a lock or with a tightening screw, the tilt forward and backwards. Other than that, it's a good deal.

I take my photos in high-quality resolutions which RR unfortunately doesn't allow me to upload. So here's a link to two pictures on my Google Photos account where you can look if you're interested.

Thanks for the recommendation and help guys!

Looks great. I'm glad you are basically happy with it.

I use mine for my 436 only and it works great! I put it in the cradle when I got it and have not removed it since. It is sturdy enough that I can use the keypad and switches without it moving.

It probably would be a problem with the heavier 200, especially in a case.

Bob.
