29 Palms Fire to change dispatch contract

I think they need to give a six month notice to CONFIRE (Comm Center) or something like that. It appears they will be going out for "bids" soon.

It's been a while since I was down there, but they don't have many options, do they? CONFIRE (Comm Center), CAL FIRE, or hire their own.

During the time I worked at 29 Fire in the 80's and 90's, I was dispatched by both Comm Center and CDF San Bernardino. They have changed their dispatch contract several times over the last couple decades.
