39.460 Hotline repeated on 154.100

Regarding the 154.100 Wilton freq:

Is this 154.100 re-broadcast of 39.460 the same comm as the 45.860 Statewide Hotline, or is it Fairfield County specific?

Also, from those individuals who monitor 154.100, how far away from Wilton is this freq. readable? I am located in Southington.

Thanks! I have been looking for a VHF Hi repeat of 45.860 to use in my 2 meter handhelds, which don't cover VHF Lo.

As far as I can recall, Subj. freq. is the Fed. Funded AON (Area Operational Network).
Each PD in Ffld Co. area is authorized to install mobiles, use handhelds, and have temp. repeaters on this channel.
In addition, repeaters have been installed in selected sites (ex. Daniels Farm Rd. in Trumbull) for all to use.
It is used for car-to-car, surveillance and special events.
This is totally separate from the old (and still active and used constantly) Ffld. Co. Hotline (39.46).
New Haven Co. hotline operates on 45.86 and 460.150.
