396T AM Programming

I did the search but could not find a definitive answer on how to enter RDU airport AM frequencies into my scanner. Do you enter them into conventional UHF/VHF or does the scanner recognize the frequency as AM?

Enter the channel into a conventional system. If the frequency does not default to AM in the AUTO setting, set it to AM. (Without the actual frequency, I cannot say whether AUTO will select AM, NFM, FM ...)
