I only receive it here in Islip Terrace if I lower squelch all the way. It could be coming from across the sound in Connecticut. Maybe @ecps92 might know or @pro106import could key it in since he is in CT.

It's one of several commonly used frequencies nationwide that is used at many airports to send data from the weather instruments out on the airfield back to the building.

And yet there's only 7 locations that were submitted to the database.

Maybe someone close to it could make a submission? Its strong in Yaphank NY and very weak in Islip Terrace NY.

You must be right near an airport ? which one
That freq is assigned to the NWS at airports [altho many folks submit it as FAA]
it is the NWS ASOS system of Telemetry.

So what’s the list of the other 6?

The only other federal frequencies that I know of that I have actually heard something on are 406.25 and 410.95. There may be other bands used depending on what equipment a particular airport has and when it was installed.

Some airports don't use federal frequencies like this one where I live.

You have,
Gabreski Airport in West Hampton
Brookhaven Calabro Airport in Shirley
Calverton Executive Airpark in Calverton

Do you have a handheld or mobile scanner?

There have become more of those at airports as NTIA moved some to splinter 12.5 khz channels, and then there is also FAA users with WX telemetry [Windsheer etc]

Most of the newer Digital scanners don't attack it fast enough for folks to notice it, generally I rely on my older Analogs to find these.

I think, I've gotten it at both airports
2010 for Groton/New London
2014 for Tweed

Only NTIA indication for Statford, but have found it in CT AT
Bradley from 2010
Brainard from 2009
I am right in between Tweed New Haven and Sikorsky Bridgeport - Stratford Airport.
I get the data signal full scale, but take your pick on which one it may be.
Nothing useful to hear anyway, unless you can decode the data.
