42.820 'Macon' ?

Hearing a police base station on 42.820 identifying as "Macon". I checked Georgia but not listed there. Any ideas?

Researched it. Sounds like you were hearing Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop B, in Macon, MO. The State of Missouri is licensed for that frequency, and their Highway Patrol has a post there, licensed on 42.820 MHz, callsign KAA201.

Just to confirm what digitalk said, 42.820 is indeed the "Macon" base of the MSHP. I monitor them on a regular basis about 8 months of the year.
