So it looks like there's an active voice channel on Site R93-8. Its CH ID is 8 but no idea of the frequency. It's NOT the remaining channel from the old site -- it's still being used for Site L2029-8. It's an odd CH ID so will have to hunt around for it.

The control channel supports one voice channel, but the whale watcher boats are out in full force this morning. They're causing the 2nd frequency to come in to play.

Some very limited reception of site 7 on 452.625 . It's barely readable here, but this is the data comes through on DSDplus:

Further to site 7 on R93, had some activity on talkgroup 243 today which opened up two new voice channels. Will try to nail down their frequencies.

243 451.375
301 ?
358 ?
398 452.625

I suspect 301 = 452.125 and 358 = 452.35 just going by the FCC licenses, but I cannot confirm.

RID 2261 [N900KA] affiliated with this site as it crossed the strait towards Victoria.

Question for you, though....
In the FCC database that RR has, it shows two entries:

1714527340283.png

Different emission types, yes.. But I can get a better decode using 451.371875 than I can using 451.375. But according to the lat/long, these are coming from the same place.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what is the actual frequency to monitor? Or does it depend? Like is one directional one way, the other the other?

Or is it just a database quirk?

Or a problem with my receiver?

so in this instance FCC says digital to Wiz, you build out as you see fit, they as we know use NXDN 6.25 , so .375 is an actual other freq to carry traffic on .371875 could be Control channel
I have logged a DMR system Wiz uses on other fx , so from my perspective they have a pool they take from based on license then put into service as they need , I believe SDR is invaluable in showing what is in use on any given moment , as I read on the forums here every day something new different then previously observed !

The problem is most scanners do not have filters for anything less than 12.5khz but I believe the Uniden SDS series actually do filter 6.25 khz bandwidths. I believe the Uniden 325/996 might as well but I'm not positive.

Kenwood LMR has always used different frequencies -- I'm guessing so their digital doesn't conflict with DMR running at its typical 6.25khz channelization.

I always use the receiving frequency. In rural areas it may not be an issue but in King County there's not much space left. You'll get multiple digital signals if you run too large of a bandwidth.

Update: these control channels and the R93 network are no longer present -- at least in the King County area. Looks like the system has been deprecated.

The OP was on the input frequency to a Tiger Mtn site voice channel. I just submitted an update which will reflect the confirmed Tiger Mtn information which has since changed. It's still operating as R93 but AFAICT, it's the only one.

There are sites for this Wiztronics system 93 spread all around the northwest. They have just recently changed all of their sites from their System 2023 to this new system (switching some frequencies and LCN in the process) You are right that Tiger Mtn is the only site in King County though.
