Landed on this at the beginning of the month during my regular UHF discovery scans, been studying it since then. Narrowed it down to one of two possibilities: WPKL362 (Berks) or WIL746 (Bucks), both leased repeater services, repeater doesn't ID itself. Sounds like shuttle buses of some sort. Various names mentioned on a regular basis, not sure if they're bus stops or facilities, my Google-foo skills turned up zilch. Among those: "Cedarwood", "Buttonwood", "Wildwood", "Gardner?". I heard "Street Road" mentioned once which leads me to believe it's the Bucks County license. Not able to pinpoint an agency at this time. Seems like a Monday through Friday operation, traffic is sparse throughout the day. Probably a shot in the dark but if anyone in the area is able to tune in and provide some insight I'd like to get this added to the RRDB. Thanks in advance

The license in Bucks County is used by Licom and I know they do lease out Tower space, as well as radios for quite a few businesses, one of them being for bucks county transport. I know BCT have their own license and frequency but my best guess is that this is a transport company with Licom's frequency and tower being used

Thanks. And you do have a reliable pick up on it over there in Morrisville? Trying to rule out for sure that it isn't the Berks license since technically I'm situated between both stations

Hey John, I was just going to say it could be Bucks County transport. All of those locations are in Levittown or Bensalem, all familiar streets.

Disabled or qualified riders who are not close enough to a SEPTA bus stop or need more assistance than a bus can offer under 65 years of age use SEPTA CCT, if you're over 65 you qualify for Bucks County transport, depending on your disability they can take you shopping or errands, often take ambulatory patients to hemodialysis centers.

That frequency looks familiar like it was part of the Motorola type ll smart zone system the police used for about 10 years before the phase 2 system was introduced in 2015, the old system was dismantled.

It's basically an early morning daytime service, I certainly can listen tomorrow.

Awesome, thanks as always for your insight Bob
Okay after a little research this morning, frequency is not very active but verified loud and clear. I just had to rule out any shuttle buses for Attleboro, Twining Village, Anne's choice Etc and I'm going to say this is Bucks County transportation, a non-profit federally funded transportation service. The picture I've shown is the Levittown headquarters next to lycom Communications.

If you look to the parking lot to the left of the radio shop, notice their tower they rent out, you will see the fleet of Bucks County transportation service buses. That's on Durham Road in Levittown. The radio shop by the way is five star and back in 2000 when Bucks County went digital with their type ll smart zone system they were a great help to my newspaper, as you know digital scanners were not introduced till 2003 so we used Motorola gear. Of course Bucks County went P2 in 2015 and is now encrypted.
So here's the problem with listing this in the database. Bucks County transportation is a huge company headquartered in Holocong, Pa. It serves all of Bucks County which is about 625 square miles.. that company also runs Dart buses and Rush buses.

We don't have Dart here in the Levittown area but we do have the Rush buses which do nothing but meet Rush Hour trains and for a dollar anybody can jump on and they will take you home in a very short range of the train station. I don't even think they have radios and probably use cell phones. I don't ride the train anymore but when I did they were always at Bristol station and I know their headquartered out of Warminster Station.

I guess what I'm saying is I'm sure this company has many frequencies used regionally around Bucks County and what I'm listening to here is serving the Levittown and Bensalem area, out of that Durham Road location. That location might serve a much larger part of the county bus wise but what I'm listening to here sounds like maybe two or three buses and drivers who are picking up regular customers they know and the messages are.. will you call him and tell him his ride's outside LOL. It is very localized.

My understanding is they have Depots all over the county. The buses might be stored on Durham Road in Levittown but I can assure you all of those buses are not on this frequency.

The repeater is loud and clear, one of the buses obviously has a bad buzz in its microphone but it very well might be coming from the Durham Road lycom tower judging by the strong signal and proximity to me.

I'll do a little more research just to make sure that there isn't some other small rogue transportation service in the area but I don't think so.

Back in the day, decades and decades ago when I used to publish frequency guides I would simply make a phone call to management of a company, and speak to someone, I would let them know the information is already published, even if it wasn't and I was just doing an annual update so they weren't giving away any state secrets and used to get a lot of cooperation, that was before the days of computers and cell phones Etc, like in the 70s. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that anymore LOL.

Thanks again for your research Bob. I think at this point it's safe to make the database submission for Bucks County Transport
