ridgescan, are you sure it is Scotland? At this time of day and on this frequency, with your location, I would expect Scotland to be an very tough haul. On the other hand, the Pacific would be very doable, and both VMW and VMC out of Australia have weather broadcast on this frequency ( HF Marine Radio Services ).

I am sure you are right Token-I thought I heard "Scotland" but I guess not.

Listening to 6230 kHz USB this morning a couple times from 1100 UTC to 1200 UTC I heard both, VMW and VMC, sometimes a bit over S9.

Yeah T I'm glad you're in here to straighten the straggly posts like mine I have that VMW out of Australia on 8113khz usb now at 1334utc
