Anythings better than MFJ! There’s a reason why the company’s no longer in business. I purchased a handful of products from them back in the late 70’s and early 80’s when I first became a ham and learned the hard way NOT to stop after that very first purchase. Lol! With the exception of their 1KW dry dummy load, the QC of their products were basically nonexistent. About the only intelligent business move they ever made was when they acquired Ameritron amplifiers, although the actual credit goes out to W8JI as they were his designs to begin with. Seriously, I can’t think of anyone I’ve run into over the years who‘re ever satisfied with MFJ’s offerings and it’s a miracle they lasted as long as they did!

6m Yagis, Moxons, etc. are not difficult/expensive to homebrew and will give one a better shot at 6m DXing.........

Its a nice antenna, 5/8 wave with four ground radials and the price is very fair. To get any better you would have to go with a Diamond CP62 which is two stacked 5/8 on 6m.

The Diamond CP62 is a good performer and I have been fairly pleased with that antenna (I have had 2 of them). My one complaint is that both of mine have, eventually and after several years of use each, broken at the inductor (near center of vertical element), probably due to high winds. To be fair, it is a pretty light element to be ~21 feet tall.

Yes, that is a potential problem and my first one failed after a about 5 years. On my second and current one I degreased the metal, used self etching primer and gave it several coats of Rustoleum paint and I remember extra coats around the coil sealing up all the joints. The antenna is well over 20yrs old now and I just used it yesterday.
