Does anyone have a list of 8 Tac and 7 Tac repeaters and locations? I understand there are many around the state, but to my knowledge there is no database of locations and channels. Would like to see what people have posted in one place.

A lot of times the teams will set up portable repeater sites where they are operating at. As what someone else mentioned many 911 centers will have the repeaters disabled until they need it. The dispatch center up where I use to live in NY was similar, only activated during certain times such as disasters, blizzards, hurricanes and mainly for testing at different points of the year. We had a Countywide 16 channel UHF fire plan and within the plan they had UCall and UTac channels.Right now in the western part of the state you will hear a lot of activity. On 8tac92 in Ashville it is almost constant activity. Yesterday there were sar teams doing missions on the French broad. I don't know exactly where that repeater is located.
