That would explain why i`m pick up 2 trunking system over 40 mile away tonight crystal clear. Is there a forcast map or something along that line?

I was picking up the Hillsborough County and Orange County Sheriff's clear this past Monday and Tuesday nights. This was with my PRO 164 equipped with a Watson 881 "super gainer" antenna. I am about 50 miles north of Hillsborough County and 90 miles west of Orange County.One is EDACS the other Motorola. I was also getting Tampa PD (UHF system) with a solid 5 bars on most of their frequencies. I have these systems programmed into the scanner for when I travel. I got 2 to 3 bars on the trunked systems.

Yeah that was about my range with a yagi up top about 45 Ft. the last 24 hrs have been crap however.

Really bad the last 24hours here too. I am thinking of a YAGI attic rig when Tampa PD goes to the county EDACS system. I get Tampa PD regularly at night but never 5 bars 2-3 bars is average. Check this out re ducting.
