So i just recently purchased another radio to add to the collection, the 996XT, so far great radio, but i have run into a stump for programming fleetnet. I am using ARCXT programming software, but where it says to enter the low frequency and high frequency i am confused. I know the low freq is for the base, but what is the high freq. I did use the "calculate high freq" option on the software, not sure if it is correct or not so thats why i am asking this question. I have not heard any comms as of yet, thats why i am wondering.
One other quick question i have, is when programming the fleetnet towers, should i use "program motorola trunked system" or just "trunked system" ?

Thanks for any help
chris

i am not 100 percent sure but i think it's the same table when you program the pro 106 so the lo chan is 380 and the hi chan is 759 if i am not mistaken

choose "custom" band plan

bandplan 1
lower 141.0150
input upper 143.9850
offset to 380
+ polarity
spacing to 15.00khz.

bandplan 2.
lower 151.7300
upper 152.5100
offset to 579
+ polarity
spacing to 15.00khz.

bandplan 3.
input lower 154.3200
input upper 156.2250
offset to 623
+ polarity set spacing to 15.00khz.

or enter the lower offset and spacing then do auto upper (should just enter what i entered above in the upper).
I dont remember from my ARC days but try motorola (long as its a VHF motorola system, not 800 not P25 etc).

I was struggling to program 2 996XT's and a 396XT that I got from work. The fleetnet was driving me crazy.

I used FreeScan and imported everything from RR database. ARCxt was giving me grief with my USB to Serial adapter and FreeScan just worked perfect first time. The best part is it's FREE.

ScanNow.org - The Home of FreeSCAN!

Cheers,

Tony
