With my 996xt new out of the box (Firmware V 1.07.03) and it programmed to RR listed frequencies and ID's I get nothing coming in for the OkWin Okc Site, Norman Site. I know its something I've done or not done correctly but cant figure it out. My main listening concern is OHP Metro Area and nothing more. I know the Okc Site has rebanding so does that mean the control channel frequency has changed???? Is the Band Plan still considered 800/900 Standard, 800 Splinter or do I need tooselect custom??? Im just confused since this whole rebanding took place my scanner has went dead quite. Any suggestions before this high dollar scanner turns into a paper weight

Sounds like you might need to set the site type to Motorola Custom/Reband Type II and then set up the band plan since OKC and Norman sites have rebanded.

Yes, you would select the custom band plan for Site 8.

For Band Plan 1, Base is 851.025, 25kHz spacing, 440 offset
For Band Plan 2, Base is 851.0125, 25kHz spacing, 0 offset

Are you using any kind of software to program it with? If so what kind and maybe someone can share a file with you to help you out.

I left out the upper frequencies:

Band Plan 1 Upper is 854.0
Band Plan 2 Upper is 868.9875

I think the band plans work for the entire OKWIN system.

I use Freescan for programming. You could have my file for the 996XT; I could add the Norman site to the file if you need it.

I too enjoy listening to OHP Troop A on AM1 AR1... if used RR database to fill up your software (I use Arc500 pro for my GRE-600) you may need to select "custom" instead of the default for the custom trunking tables. I'm not familiar with the new Unidens but you'll only get a few hits for the coincidental frequencies that line up with the reband until you give the scanner the rebanded tables as discussed above..

People in Norman (Site 40) with old scanners are lucky because only a single frequency pair uses a "borrowed" channel number. Based on my monitoring with Unitrunker, that pair (and a couple others) are almost never used so on Site 40, at least, you won't miss much on a radio that can't be updated for rebanding. Site 8 isn't that way, unfortunately.

Gentlemen Thank You for the assistance and advice. I'm currently programming it manually but will be downloading FreeScan. I just signed up @ RR for a premium account so I'll play around with it in a couple of days and let everyone know.
