A cheap toy, but it looks kinda fun to play with. (SI4732 0.5-108mhz Pocket Mini Radio)

If anything, it appears less than a marginal performer, but it has a rudimentary SSB capability even if it's not really that usable. Here is a video that shows more about it. Anyone here have one? It's a cute little TOY though if you want something to put in a display case.

Yes, I bought it for $27USD and have had a great time playing with it. The SSB works pretty well, if you see his follow up video, BFO can be adjusted via the menu. While not the best radio in my arsenal, it works pretty well (I use an indoor amplified loop) with the right antenna. As would be expected, the audio output is weak, but listenable. I have wasted way more $ on lunch and consider this a fun radio to take out and not worry about losing it.

Cool! After reading your comment about the BFO I decided to pop for one myself. What I really liked was your comment, "I have wasted way more $ on lunch." That's a good way of putting it, and it'll last a lot longer that any lunch ever would. So, in about three weeks...

If/when I get it, I'll see if I can come up with a 3D printed stand for it and maybe some other accessories. I get bored easy, so...

... now this ATS25 is a real beauty to look at, but looks cannot trump sensitivity and selectivity.

I honestly have no expectations of this new item I ordered, it's so cheap if it even picks up the AM station about 1/4 mile away I'd be happy.
I did notice it uses the same si4732 radio chip as the ATS25, but without all the additional filtering and such.

I'm in the the same boat, looks like the same receiver chip controlled be different microcontrollers.

Ordered one from Amazon, returned it the next day. Apparently a lot of the Audrino nano clone boards shipped with bad USB connectors so no easy way to upgrade the FW. Spent a little more and got a Tecsun PL-330 and I'm very impressed and pleased with it.

... 11 days, still waiting. I dunno about you guys, as an old man I've developed lots of patience... EXCEPT when new electronic toys like radios are involved.

Bought one of curiosity. Too much noise from its own display though I started with low explanations and have lots of good radios. I have not seen any SI4732 based receiver hen tested fell into my "keep" category.

The SI4732 mini pocket receiver shows a status of "Order will ship in 6 days." from AliExpress.

I just logged in and checked, apparently (if it can be trusted) it could arrive Friday. I'll wait an see.

Yeah, I'm not expecting much out of it, but if it even receives a local FM radio station I'll be pleased. After all, you only get what you pay for.
