Actually, I DO rip them off of the internet! After that I manually remove blemishes, specks of dust, then resize them, play with the lighting levels, and then sharpen them up a little. Sometimes I even put in a different background. It's something I like to do after work for relaxation.
If I ever find myself single and needing pictures for a dating site I'll be calling you. Nice work!

I gotta ask. Sometimes I watch a show called The Color Of War on Story Television or The History channel and I often wondered how that was done or if they did have color cameras on the battlefield.

How did you colorize the photo? And how long did it take?

I hope you don't mind, but I felt to tweak you photo a little, it's such a beautiful radio I had to get rid of the green tinge.

Always wanted one of these Drake's, with the VHF option! Anyone have one of these in their radio arsenal??

I got an R71-A instead. Had a ham buddy [before I became a ham] install the Willco 1032 extended memory board, back in the late 1990's. Used to monitor a lot of "utes" back then---needed those 1,032 channels to keep track. Couldn't recall what-was-where w/o my log book. Still got the R71-A...needs caps replaced.

One of those "when I get a round tuit's..."

Have a wonderful, happy and safe 2025 everyone. Keep those updated boat anchors coming, Omega-TI

I don’t have the VHF option, but I do have the Drake. It’s the main receiver in my shack. Made in the good old USA
