A New Frequency

I just heard an announcement on my local county fire radio..... The dispatcher said that the new frequency will be implemented at 08:00 monday morning......

Since I am somewhat of an amateur at this and I have no connections with the local FD's or radio service, I am wondering if there is somewhere on the net I can look to find this new number.....

You'd be better off posting this in the West Virginia forum since there may be people there who already have the information you want. Check the RR database for new updates as well. Worst case, go out and look at the antennas on the fire trucks. That will at least give you a clue as to what frequency band they are switching to.

They had to modify the license to add this new freq. From your state forum you can search for details of name, call sign, and location. From this you may find the buggr. Doing it the hard way is to search public service bands starting with the band they use now. Good Luck.
