AC Adapter for Pro-162?

Will the 9 volt 300 MaH adapter from radio shack work with the Pro-162? or do I need a higher rating? Is it the C plug?

I have a PSR-500 and the AC adapter for it fits the Pro-162 perfectly.

Yes, it's on the bottom of page 12.
HOWEVER, many of us on RR recommend using 2 sets of batteries and an external charger. That eliminates any possibility of damage to the scanner from a voltage surge or component failure. It's happened to me and others.
