A2-- 34.95 FM 1950h
In the blind advisory by a "Guard helicopter" that it was going to be operating at low level in the "Alert Area" for "the next two zero minutes"
see:
36.35FM has historically been the advisory frequency listed officially and on NOTAMs for A-531, a low level training area to the east of KVUJ and generally encompassing most of the Uwharrie National Forest.
I have heard 34.95 in actual use making these short advisories more often than 36.35, but I have had only infrequent rx of either. 34.95 has been heard used locally for more than In The Blind advisories.
Unknown what is considered the current official frequency as all NOTAMs for A-531 came to a sudden stop a long time ago, but not the activity, just the required notice.
A surprisingly scratchy rx, but it was received on a scanner inside the house with a back of set telescoping antenna on a BC365CRS with locked in frequency modulation, likely too narrow, likely not helping.
