I have several years experience with PSR600 scanners, familiar with P25 trunking. I bought a new TRX-2 a few weeks ago. Programmed by zip code ok.
When I go to my Trunked Radio System in EZ Scan, I have 7 sites listed, I want to add more sites. Is there a way for EZ Scan to do this?
I went to the RR database, selected my 8 sites, typed in the name and then typed in the cc frequency, that seems to work but there has to be an easier way.
I went to Library Import, under Trunked System Objects, selected Import primary and alternate control channels only for Motorola and P25 systems (this is a P25 Phase 1 system Colorado DTRS) then Update Channels. It updated/checked the 7 current sites and skipped 224 others, 8 of which I manually entered.

EZ Scan is a mess when you do a large system like the Colorado DTRS. Sometimes you get way more than you want and others
not enough.

zipcode is the worst way, it overloads the scanner with frequencies , it can take forever to cycle back around which causes you to miss things.

in ezscan, go to library import tab, select "PREFERRED" as the method, pick and chose only what you want, select import, assign a scanlist, it is now in ezscan. From there you can edit it further before copying the configuration TO the scanner/sd card.

Yes, that is why I am attempting to edit what I have. I do not have too much but not enough, need to add.

I will try that.
