Earlier this year Air Evac put a helicopter in Abilene. http://www.air-evac.com/air63.htm
Recently I have been hearing them talk about a repeater in Abilene when the west texas helos fly through my area on the way to and from DFW area hospitals.
Does anybody know what frequency they are using in Abilene?

Hendrick Medical Center is in Abilene, Texas. Those Medical Helos are based there. Abilene is in Taylor County. The frequencies listed below are the ones that I have found for Hendrick Medical Center. These Medical Helos at some point will have to communicate with the Hospital when arriving with persons needing medical services.

155.22000
155.28000
155.34000
163.25000
462.95000
462.97500
463.00000
463.02500
463.05000
463.07500
463.10000
463.12500
463.15000
463.17500

When Air Evac 55, 54, 52, 34 transport to Harris or JPS in Fort Worth they usually call in their patient reports on the Mineral Wells repeater when they are about 10 to 15 minutes out. I assume they have their own dispatch frequency in Abilene that isn't associated with a hospital, like they do here in Mineral Wells, Wichita Falls and Waco.

Air Evac

They are using one of Texas Communications' community repeaters, 460.650
It is located west of Abilene near all of the wind turbines.

155.3400 is Texas Med 1 (formerly "Statewide EMS"), and incoming ambulances / helicopters will use this frequency to communicate with both Hendricks and Abilene Regional, provided that they don't use cellphones instead ;)

The only two active frequencies we receive are: 452.05-Security & 461.3-Maintenance, for Hendrick Health Systems. Choppers talk in to Security on their frequency. 163.25 is paging, but we don't monitor it--got some TV cable harmonics sometimes there.
