Air Med 5 used to be based at Rapides General in Alexandria but is now in an off site location, maybe Woodworth or something like that. All the Acadian Air Med aircraft have been making night flights for as long as they've been in operation. Like most aero medical operators, they are using night vision goggles now, but I don't know if all bases are using them. Acadian uses Metro Aviation from Shreveport to fly and maintain their helicopters. I worked as a backup mechanic at Air Med 5 when Acadian used PHI for crews.
