BCT8: Airband

Just recently the airband and CB on my BCT8 no longer has sound, it will scan and stop on a frequency but all i am getting is a low static sound when i turn the volume all the way up. All other bands work and nothing wrong with speaker. any thoughts would be appreciated, Thanks

Is your radio in "AM" mode on the airband and CB frequencies ?

Thanks for the quick response, but i am pretty sure modes are not user selectable on this scanner

Info plus manual and hard reset instruction here. I’d try another location and antenna before you wipe it though.

The ceramic filter on the right labeled UH450HTU is for AM only and might have failed in your radio.
