Yes but can UHF and VFH and AM frequencies be programmed

Yes it can.
Your scanner can receive VHF, UHF, AM, FM and FMW which is used for FM broadcasting stations currently designated 87.9 to 107.9 MHz.
Aircraft frequencies range from 118-137MHz in AM mode and the range is called VHF. The channel spacing is 25KHz or 8.33KHz ?

Also keep in mind you'll only be able to receive tower to aircraft reliably from no more than a few miles away from the airport. From further away you'll only hear aircraft to tower and not the other way around
Like I said, anything and everything for that scanner is in the link provided. These are all defaults in your scanner unless they were changed.

VHF airband only in a 197. i use ARC500 from Butel to program my 197. you'll also need a cable...eBay, Amazon. do a google search. There are other programming software options besides Butel.

Not for air bands. As aforementioned by Dave and others on this thread, civilian & military air are AM CONVENTIONAL
