I live in CT and keep receiving signals on these aircraft frequencies but I don't know where they're coming from. They are 125.75, 132.60, and 132.15. I guess they could be coming in anywhere from the northeast. I did a frequency search on this website for these frequencies and nothing comes up. I also checked my Police Call directory and nothing shows up. Does anyone have any idea what they aircraft frequencies they are?

132.600 and 132.150 I can confirm as New York Center. I have heard traffic on 125.75, but can't confirm who it is. Cheers

Airline Frequency

Hi All,

125.75 is not Bradley App/Dep, so I could only infer that it would most likely be New York Approach. When I was 17 and 18, I took flight training courses - mostly departing from Robertson. We made several touch-and-go's, full stops, taxi procedures, etc. at BDL; however, we never flew south. We usually used what's known as "Fligh Following" or "VOR to VOR."

Microsoft Flight Simulator's newest edition lists all available frequencies in the interactive ATC. I'll double check; however, as I was playing the game the other night, I created an IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) flight from JFK to BDL and, after departing from runway 34L, I was prompted to change frequencies several times. I'm quite sure that 125.75 is New York Approach. Even when a flight departs, you'll usually be kept in the Approach frequncy range, not the Departure range.

Either way, I'll double check and post back.

Talk soon,

Ben

I know the Madison VOR frequency in the game is correct. I remember years ago playing that game and thinking "I wonder if that is real?" I punch the VOR channel from the game into my scanner and wouldn't ya know, I could hear the Madison VOR ID'ing. Of course, the "Madison" VOR is actually in Guilford for some reason.
