Airspy R2 issue

I received two airspy R2's yesterday to consolidate using multiple rtl's. For some reason the airspy's are only picking up static when there are transmissions. I had someone look at everything; it all appears good. I switched back to the rtl and the frequencies are receiving fine. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening???

Double check your RF connection ? SMA tight ? I've never had issues with SDRT and AirSpy. Check your tuner in the application ? This trunking or conventional. Assume conventional but asking.

What specifically are you trying to pick up on SDRTrunk if you're only hearing static? Never encountered static on anything digital but I seldom if ever use SDRTrunk for anything analog. Posting screenshots with your waterfall display & tuner settings window may also help your cause...

If you are running the Airspy at 10 msps, running SDRTrunk, and either your computer is weak and CPU/memory is being exhausted or you have a crappy USB subsystem, you might be losing samples.

Using sdr# with the new r2's would help you verify if there is an issue with your r2's or sdrtrunk settings

Thanks all, I believe I found the issue. I had my air spy’s plugged into a usb hub, when I plugged them directly into the USB drives on the computer, they worked.
