Hello All,

Can someone please provide me with the freqs for all aerial operations, AirTankers, Helo operations, AirBoss freqs for Washington State please.

I am interested in Aerial Fire Support and I would like to monitor the Fire AirTankers out of Spokane, Deer Park, Couer d' Alene Idaho. Also would like to hear the Air Boss aircraft giving AirTankers drop info and grounds fire ops.

Thank you so very much. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Start off with these freqs:
168.65 nfm National Flight Following, all firefighting aircraft have to check in with numerous dispatch centers when they takeoff or fly from one dispatch center to the next. Listen for more frequencies given out by the dispatch centers.
168.625 nfm Air Guard used for aircraft emergencies and other emergencies.
168.55 nfm National smokejumper frequency
123.975 am common frequency for the air tanker bases, aircraft refuel and get retardant.
122.75 am Air to Air (A2A) fixed wing
122.85 am A2A fixed wing/rotary wing
122.925 am A2A and Air to Ground (A2G) fixed wing/rotary wing
123.025 am A2A rotary wing
123.9 am A2A fixed wing/rotary wing
Air to Ground (A2G) frequencies for your area:
A2G 3 151.145 nfm
12 167.075 nfm
40 167.45 nfm
42 167.55 nfm
44 167.625 nfm
47 167.725 nfm
51 168.3125 nfm
54 168.5375 nfm
60 169.125 nfm
66 166.675 nfm
No such thing as an "airboss" they are called "air attack" and they coordinate the aircraft in the area, Lead planes will show the air tankers where they want the retardant dropped, basically it a "follow the leader (Lead)"

Currently in NorthEast Washington is the North Fork fire and listen for Air Attack on frequency 123.7 am.

If you can watch the aircraft on ADSB Exchange or Flightradar 24.

Hope this helps out and let us know what you hear and any New frequencies!

For initial attack in my area, air to air is usually 122.925; air to ground is often DNR A to G 1 or 2, 159.270, 151.2875. If there are already other incidents nearby and these are already used, then it's another story.
Also, on the second day of a fire, and for sure when an Incident Management Team takes over, these will change.
If there are multiple aircraft + Air Attack on scene, the air to air frequency is usually quite busy and easy to find in the air band.
