I dug into submission information for this system. The information is almost eight years old.

ICOM Canada Ontario Trunked System - Province Wide (NXDN)
Site 2 - Toronto
Ch1-462.1125 (C) Ch2-453.4875(C)
Site 4 - Ballantrae
Ch1 463.3875 (C)
Site 7 - Kingston
Ch 1 422.1875(C) Ch2-423.6875(C)
Site 8 - Belleville
Ch1 422.3625(C) Ch2 422.5625(C)
Site 9 - Hamilton
Ch 1 451.8875(C) Ch2 452.2875(C) Ch3 462.8875

The above is very outdated. We know that the Toronto site frequencies belong to Federal Wireless, the Ballantrae to Communitroncs and they are DMR TIII. Kingston and Belleville is actually Quinte Communications. The Hamilton ones either don't exist or are owned by Bearcom in other parts of the province.

When I monitored the Toronto site this morning on 452.6375 it lists as IDAS Site 1.1-3 with a neighbour of Site 1. If you look into TAFL, it only shows 380 Dixon Road for it's license. I can easily monitor that one and all I get are the "blips" from their transmitter. I wonder where Site 1 is and who the licensee is?

This is what one member monitored back in 2016.

Talkgroups

4-14 Truck to truck
4-15 Air
4-16 Ground
4-17 Icehouse

The above talkgroups are used by "AIM" (Aerodrome International Maintenance)
Contractor On site snow removal / clearing at PIA YYZ CDF (Central Deicing Facility)

** BAD LINK in 2024 comes back as 404 ERROR**

I've been seeing 452.6375 showing IDAS along with another freq while running DSD+ FastLane. Seems to have a pretty strong signal. But other than that no audio. I'm surprised the system is still on the air.

I have confirmed some details regarding this frequency from the inside. The Frequency of 452.6375 MHz is registered under the call sign CHQ429 to the address of 380 Dixon St, Toronto Ontario. The Licensee's information comes back to iCom Canada with an address of 150-6165 Hwy. 17, Delta BC.

As per the listing, this is a digital land mobile system operating at 40 watts with a directional antenna. Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to discuss any more information than that. But hopefully this helps a little bit.

It was a joke. YIKES.

Anyone with half a brain knows that this is all publicly accessible.

I see 452.6375 as Ch 1 and 453.6125 as Ch 3. Nada on 452.675 anytime I've checked.

Seeing as Airtime rents out telecomm gear, I wonder if they use their repeater only for potential sales purposes for prospective clients?
(e.g. : in the case of doing a demo)

I wouldn't be surprised if they flog it for special events, like they did with their EDACS, then LTR offerings for Pride Week in the past. Given their track record (dead PA on EDACS channel 7 killing emergency comms with TEMS and a conventional analog security channel repeater drifting completely off channel in the middle of large weekend events), I am absolutely shocked at how little business Airtime manages to drum up. Ok, maybe not so shocked...

I think it's because you admitted to keying up on Niagara Transit 7 years ago. Some of us have good memories.

1st impressions go a long way
