Does anyone know how to tell the difference between a valid AL-800 and a counterfeit AL-800? I have one here and I am trying to figure if it is real or not? *Blink*

Call MFJ with the serial number and ask if it's valid? They should be able to tell you. You could also download photographs of the internals for a similar year as the one you have and see if they are similar or the same. Your best bet would be to avoid MFJ products altogether however, but that is just one mans opinion.

But the AL-800 isn't MFJ....erm...is it?

Mine says PRYME and I know some people have ANLI. But they may all be the same for all I know. So hard to tell anymore. Sigh.
