Besides fire & EMS does anyone know of any active public safety frequencies in analog mode in the Albany NY area? Is 159.360 still in use by the Albany County sheriff?

No, 159.3600 isn't used anymore. Columbia and Greene Counties to the south is still Analog, as are NYSP Troops K and G.
Schoharie to the West is, and Saratoga, as of two months ago, still was patched.

Fire, all I mentioned above was still in use , in analog. Rensselaer County Fire was still analog conventional

Troop G doesn't use the Albany/Schenectady system? I assumed they did, there are talkgroups there.

There are NYSP talkgroups on all the area trunked systems, but it seems to be different than other areas of the state that do use NYSP talkgroups on trunked systems on a routine basis or are patched from their analog. NYSP seems to utilize their analog conventional rather than specific NYSP talkgroups on county systems while they do keep their trunked radios on the counties polling talkgroup of the areas they are assigned to patrol along with their own conventional radios to their own troop channels

Are you speaking about the capital region specifically, or NYSP in general? If in general, then I'd point out that in Rockland and Orange counties, zone patrols use their trunked talkgroups exclusively, while also monitoring 911 Priority (aka polling) in Orange and Countywide in Rockland.

I heard Troop G being used, in analog (155.4450 110.9 base) in June. They may be patched to the trunk, I didn't listen to, or care to monitor, to find out if they are. I just know I heard them in analog on the above frequency.

Also if you listen carefully on the various cities, counties, and towns in the Capital Region, you will hear the SP Units with their "1G" identifier.

Others using legacy analog conventional systems in Albany County include NYS Parks Police and EnCon. They also have talkgroups on regional trunked systems, but their VHF channels are still alive and well.
